Graduation Requirements and Cadet Medals |
Graduation from Cadet to Commando requires the earning of 12 merit points. Upon graduation, the Cadet earns the Cadet with Honors medal. However, achieving 12 merit points within 14 days of joining is rewarded with the Master Cadet with Honors medal instead.
If not already of the rank LJG or above, a Cadet will be promoted to LJG upon graduation. |

| Except for graduation, merit points are not directly applied to promotions, but are used by commanding officers as a guide to determine when promotions are appropriate. |
